About

Currently located in Charlottesville, VA, Charlie graduated with a B.A. with High Distinction in Art History from the University of Virginia in 2025. Upon graduation, he recieved a commendation of High Distinction for his thesis, “Trans/Figuration: Representations of Transformative Gender in Ben Cuevas’s Non-Binary Code”. In 2024, he recieved a grant from the UVA Student Council Arts Fund. With this grant, Charlie patterned and hand knit a wool sweater as part of a presentation on fast fashion and sustainability in the world of costuming for film and TV. His extensive work in fine arts, art history, art conservation, libraries, archives, and museums allow him to approach costuming from an interdisciplinary and highly technical point of view. His work in all of these fields reflect his outstanding work ethic, attention to detail, and passion for creating quality products.
